Carnage Park :- Watch Carnage Park on Youtube on Fire,Part crime caper gone awry, part survival horror film, this 1970s set thriller depicts a harrowing fight for survival after a pair of wannabe crooks botch a bank heist and flee into the desert, where they inexplicably stumble upon Carnage Park, a remote stretch of wilderness occupied by a psychotic ex-military sniper. “Carnage Park is an upcoming American crime thriller/horror film directed and written by Mickey Keating. The film stars Ashley Bell, Darby Stanchfield, Pat Healy, and Alan Ruck.In 1978, two thieves, “Scorpion Joe” and Lenny, escape into desert with a hostage after a failed heist. They inadvertently come across “Carnage Park”, a remote piece of California land owned by Wyatt Moss, a veteran of the Vietnam War skilled in marksmanship, who has challenged them to survive or be killed. And I know it’s more sold like an action or crime movie but even that is very low in content. The story is way to simple and a lot of tension is taking out of the action by lack of impact. There are no highlights in this film and the way it was made just annoyed me. Like for example when they play a scary tune when nothing exciting is really happening. The cast is about 7 people I think and the sets are few and kind of boring.
The seventies feeling it’s suppose to have I never got and there’s nothing convincing in this movie to suggest otherwise. Also from what I heard I thought this would be a bigger movie and that it actually had some budget.Guess I was wrong about that.I found it very lame and to much of an indie to be even be considered as a movie to be played in the theaters. The one I can think of as worthy would be “bone tomahawk”and this definitely don’t has that kind of quality.Another one to forget,I don’t recommend it.If your into bad indie movies…enjoy.Keating described Carnage Park as being a nod to films by Sam Peckinpah and Peter Watkins that were made in the 1970s, and he built the film around that concept.
